Salary Information
The compensation for this position ranges from $26.65 [Starting Wage] to $35.85 [Top Wage] per hour. This salary structure is based on the County’s 9-step pay scale, with compensation starting at Step 1 demonstrating entry-level pay.
Description
This role involves operating and maintaining wastewater treatment facilities, including monitoring equipment, collecting samples, and performing routine lab analyses. The operator will assist with maintenance and repairs on sewer lift stations and collection system components, as well as perform custodial duties at the facilities. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, inspecting new side sewer connections, and assessing equipment needs to recommend improvements. Training and supervision will be provided to support the successful candidate in fulfilling these essential tasks.
