Job Description

Job Overview

Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented Maintenance Planner to join their team in Summerville, SC. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency. They will utilize eMaint CMMS and SAP ERP to manage work orders, track inventory, optimize maintenance workflows, while keeping communication strong amongst several teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance schedules using eMaint CMMS.
  • Create, prioritize, and assign work orders to maintenance technicians based on urgency and resource availability.
  • Monitor work order completion rates and follow up on outstanding tasks.
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to schedule downtime for planned maintenance.
  • Ensure minimal disruption to production while executing maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for outsourced maintenance work.
  • Track maintenance KPIs, such as equipment downtime, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), and MTTR (Mean Time To Repair)
  • Utilize eMaint and SAP data to analyze trends and recommend process improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date equipment maintenance records, manuals, and SOPs.
  • Assist in developing job plans, work instructions, and training materials for technicians

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of maintenance planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in eMaint (or similar CMMS) and SAP (or similar ERP system).
  • Strong understanding of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
  • Ability to analyze maintenance data and drive process improvements.
  • Familiar with 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Familiar with OSHA, NIOSH, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
  • Familiar with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements
  • Must have working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical power transmission systems.
