Hiya~
We're a specialty coffee shop with an in-house baking program and we're hiring for our Baker's position at our shop in Northern Liberties. This gig is great for individuals with a range of baking experiences - previous knowledge of commercial kitchens with at least 2+ years of baking experience is strongly preferred. Prep cooks with baking experience and a keen interest in learning more are encouraged to apply. We'll train you on the rest!
Position Details:
- Monday thru Friday, 6a start time
- No weekends / No graveyard shifts
- Hourly base rate commensurate with experience + performance based wage increases
- Work independently, self-directed
- No management of others or customer facing work
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Seasonal menu planning
Position Responsibilities:
- Execute weekly production schedule for bakery items + some food items to be distributed to both Menagerie stores.
- Weekly bakesets include: sourdough rolls, bread loaves, cookies, granola, eggs, scones, muffins, etc.
- Maintain your own inventory
- Monthly meetings to discuss production, menu planning, supplies, repairs, etc.

Our baking environment is spacious, clean and occasionally cohabitated by wild baristas. :) It's cafe adjacent so you'll have all the specialty coffee you need to stay focused & caffeinated, and the baker has their own bench, mixing area, ovens & ample storage.
